Original versus remake

true U47 reproduction is expected to sound not only like any old
U47...
To be accepted, it must sound at least like a very good original
U47.
But before it will be accepted as an equal alternative to a vintage U47,
everybody will compare it to the best U47's he has ever heard...
You see, not an easy task...
Here is short demo recording, done at Electric Avenue Studio, Sydney. The female vocal (Elana Stone) is recorded over U47w and TAB/Telefunken V76 preamp, no EQ, no compressor. Background is just a simple piano, picked up by a Neumann SM2 room mic.
